What’s On In Landbeach - March 2015
“The old order changeth, yielding place to new” So wrote Tennyson 150 years ago,
in The Passing of Arthur, putting words into the mouth of a fictional medieval hero,
whose original lived 1500 years ago. Change is always happening, and it seems to
be happening particularly here and now in Landbeach.
Traditional community organisations are struggling to get new members and committee
members. Do you think that is because they are “the old order” and their role is
over? In that case, we need “the new”.
My challenge to existing community groups is – Change or die! Seek out fresh ideas;
give new members the authority to carry out their plans. And my challenge to everyone
else is - Find a cause that matters to you & make it succeed. Don’t be limited by
what was done in the past.
